From Design to Production. Faster.

Stratos Composites provides founder-led consulting in advanced composites, manufacturing processes, and factory data. We are also developing Strat-OS, software to help automated fiber placement process planners generate, evaluate, and compare process-plan candidates.

Technical consulting, matched to the problem

Stratos Composites works with manufacturers and engineering teams that need focused support for a defined manufacturing, design, data, or research and development problem.

Automated fiber placement

Process planning, layup strategy, manufacturing troubleshooting, defect evaluation, and inspection-informed process review.

Composite design and analysis

Laminate optimization, tow-steered and variable-stiffness structures, structural assessment, and manufacturing-aware design review.

Smart manufacturing and factory data

Manufacturing data architecture, sensor and system integration, production analysis, and connected-factory planning.

Technical R&D and independent review

Feasibility studies, research and test plans, technical writing, independent engineering review, and development roadmaps.

Every angle of your data, in one workspace

Connect your warehouse, ask in plain English, and ship dashboards your team will actually open — no SQL, no setup calls.

Data automations

Build multi-step automations that route every metric to exactly the right place. Chain triggers, conditions, and connected tools like Slack — then watch each branch update in real time as data flows through your pipeline.

FAQs

Answers to common questions about Stratos Composites, our consulting work, and Strat-OS. If your question is not covered, contact our team.

About Stratos Composites

Our deepest experience is in aerospace, advanced composites, and AFP manufacturing. Some of our work in factory data, connected systems, and smart manufacturing also applies to automotive, energy, industrial manufacturing, and other production environments.

We work with organizations throughout the United States. Engagements may be remote, on-site, or a combination of the two. We determine the right approach during project scoping.

Send a short, non-confidential description of your question, problem, or proposed use case. Do not submit proprietary technical data, classified information, export-controlled information, or other controlled material. If we need more detailed information, we can arrange a suitable way to exchange it after the initial consultation and after the appropriate agreements are in place.

We use the information to review and respond to your inquiry. If you separately choose to receive company and product updates, we may also use your contact information for those messages. We do not sell your personal information or share it for third-party marketing.

Consulting

One or more Stratos founders will lead the engagement and work directly with your team. We assign the work according to the problem, project scope, and expertise required. Not every engagement requires all three founders.

Start by sending us a short description of the problem. If the project appears to be a potential fit, we will arrange a complimentary technical consultation of up to one hour.

If we decide to proceed, we will establish any necessary nondisclosure agreement and define the scope, deliverables, schedule, participation, and commercial terms. Work begins after both parties approve and sign the consulting agreement.

Some engagements can be completed through document review, engineering analysis, approved data access, and remote meetings. Others require time with your technical team, equipment, process, or facility. We define the balance during project scoping.

Strat-OS

No. Strat-OS is in active development and is not generally available. Core planning and scoring components exist in product code, but the complete workflow is still being integrated and tested.

A closed pilot with a limited number of selected organizations is planned for early 2027. Applying does not guarantee selection.

No. Strat-OS is designed to work alongside existing design, structural-analysis, AFP programming and simulation, machine, and inspection systems.

The process planner remains responsible for selecting a process-plan candidate, conducting physical trials, making final adjustments, and approving the validated process plan.

Strong candidates will have access to an operational AFP system, a representative part or use case, AFP programming and simulation software, and the ability to provide structured technical feedback.

Inspection data is helpful but not required. Applicants should also be prepared to evaluate incomplete software and work with our team throughout the pilot.
